The goal of Habitat for Humanity of Ellis County is to eliminate poverty housing in Ellis County, Texas – one home and one family at a time. We are committed to building houses and building relationships to ensure a better future for our community. Using volunteer labor as well as donated funds and materials, we build simple, decent houses and sell them to low-income families at cost with no interest added. We raise our own funds in order to build a house.
 
In order to continue our mission, we are having a FESTIVAL OF TREES fundraising event on November 14th and November 15th, 2025, at First United Methodist Church, 505 W. Marvin, Waxahachie, Texas.
