On Saturday, November 2, 2019 the community and beyond are invited to dine under the stars on the Historic Square of Downtown Waxahachie as Waxahachie High School Culinary Educator and Chef, Joel Skipper, and the culinary students prepare a five-course dinner, on-site, for all attendees. The harvest themed dinner will include produce, meats, greens and other ingredients provided by local farmers from the Waxahachie Downtown Farmers Market and other local resources.
The Waxahachie Downtown Farmers Market, local civic, city, business, and other supporters are committed to supporting the Waxahachie High School Culinary Arts, Fine Arts and various other WHS students and educators. Under the guidance of the culinary teachers, the students will plan, prepare, create and serve, opening up the opportunity for each to grow their skills and interest. A portion of the proceeds will be presented to qualifying culinary students as scholarships for future education.
