Annual Juneteenth In The Park Parade and Celebration

Festivities will include a Parade and Celebration In The Park. The parade will begin at 11am. There is no cost per entry.

The Procession will begin at Lee Penn Park and will proceed north Getzendaner Ave to Peters St. Then it will turn left on Peters St and proceed west to Wyatt St. and then turn left, going south on Wyatt St. to MLK Blvd. Then it will turn right onto MLK Blvd and proceed west on MLK Blvd to Clift St. Then it will turn left on Clift and proceed south to E Jefferson St. Then it will turn left on E Jefferson and continue east to Getzendaner Ave. Then it will turn left on Getzendaner and proceed north back to Lee Penn Park.

A program and dedication will be presented following the parade. There will be food, fun and fellowship for all. The parade and celebration is open to the Ellis County Community and anyone else wishing to celebrate this Historic Event that was made a Holiday honoring Freedom!!!
